Tenugui Japanese towel 100% cotton printed with reproduction of Sporting Cats print by Japanese artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi, headband

€7,50

The tenugui is a Japanese cotton towel that is very pleasant to the touch. It can be used to dry your hands, wipe your forehead, as a headband, or simply as decoration.

Ours are decorated with famous prints by the Japanese artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi, a great master of 19th-century woodblock prints, along with Katsuchika Hokusai, better known for his Wave and Mount Fuji.

His works are steeped in Japanese folklore: tales, legends and myths come together to form frightening, intriguing or very humorous frescoes!
Here, cats in traditional attire are playing with a ball. In fact, all the techniques depicted are inspired by a very popular juggler at the time (in the first half of the 19th century).

It's an unusual, functional and very original gift for any lover of Japanese culture or unusual fashion!
